Good Green Fun!

Chloe is home from school today because she was very sick yesterday. Today she is much better. I still think she needed a day home to rest. To keep us busy this morning we made some St. Patrick's Day pictures. We used a potato and cut it in half, and cut a heart stamp from it. Then we dipped it in green paint and made shamrocks. Here are Chloe and Owen's masterpieces, and Phoebe working on a green picture.

We also made some green playdough. Here's the recipe for it:

1 cup water

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/2 cup salt

1 tablespoon cream of tartar

food coloring

1 cup flour

Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food coloring in saucepan and heat until warm. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir, then knead until smooth. Store in airtight container or ziploc freezer bag.

Here they are playing with the playdough. Owen always makes snowmen when he plays with playdough. Chloe made a lot of different things but here she is with a frog. Phoebe enjoying banging on hers with her hand. ;)
